LeSean McCoy and Sammy Watkins Out for Week 4

The Buffalo Bills will be without two of their biggest offensive weapons for Sunday's game against the New York Giants. Running back LeSean McCoy and wide receiver Sammy Watkins have been ruled out for Week 4.

McCoy and Watkins were both expected to miss Sunday's game coming into the week. McCoy has fought through a hamstring injury since the preseason and it just got worse after trying to play through it. A week off was badly needed in order to try and get him healthy and become an explosive runner again.

Watkins suffered a calf injury last week and was never able to get to the practice field this week. After being held catch-less  in Week 1, Watkins put up a six-catch, 60-yard performance with a touchdown in Week 2. He recorded a 39-yard catch against the Miami Dolphins, before he suffered the injury.

Many will be excited about Karlos Williams expanded role this week and they should. On just 24 carries this season, Williams has rushed for 186 yards, an impressive 7.8 yards per carry mark. Against a New York Giants defense that has allowed the 10th-most fantasy points to running backs this season.

Watkins' absence on the field, means more targets for Percy Harvin and Robert Woods#. Neither are must-start plays by any means, though the Giants' cornerbacks have had some problems in coverage this season. Harvin leads the team in targets with 18 through three weeks.
