LeSean McCoy Questionable Week 2 with a Hamstring Injury

It's a bit too early to call this a trend for LeSean McCoy in 2015, but there is legitimate concern over a nagging hamstring injury. After missing the Buffalo Bills final three preseason games, McCoy got a start Week 1 against the Indianapolis Colts. He responded by putting up 41 yards on 17 carries.

McCoy, who Buffalo acquired from the Philadelphia Eagles in a trade back in March, was pulled out of practice on Thursday after suffering tightness in his hamstring. Following that decision, Bills head coach Rex Ryan had this to say:

"I don't even want to think that way, but yeah, it would be definitely (next man up)," Ryan said, via ESPN.com. "But like I said, I'm not giving up on McCoy playing."

Ryan did mention that he's hopeful McCoy will be able to go Sunday against the New England Patriots. If he's not able to suit up, rookie Karlos Williams will get the start in his stead. Remember, Buffalo has released both Fred Jackson and Bryce Brown this month, meaning the team has confidence in Williams to shoulder the load.

As it relates to McCoy, we should acquire a better understanding of where he stands by Friday afternoon. Until then, don't lock him into any lineup.
