The Seattle Seahawks will be without star running back Marshawn Lynch for Sunday afternoon's game against the division-rival San Francisco 49ers.
Lynch, a surprise inactive, suffered an abdomen injury earlier this month. He was questionable for last week's game against the Arizona Cardinals, but was able to handle a heavy workload.
Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll showed confidence in Lynch being able to go just a couple days ago. This, despite the fact that he didn't take part in practice all week. It's obvious that the team's top offensive player just wasn't ready to go during pre-game warmups Sunday afternoon.
With Lynch out, Thomas Rawls will get a vast majority of the touches for Seattle. The rookie running back has seen just 13 rush attempts over the past four games after tallying 169 yards on 23 attempts in Lynch's stead against the Cincinnati Bengals back in Week 5.
