Marshawn Lynch to See Injury Specialist, Thomas Rawls Shines in his Stead

As long as Marshawn Lynch is healthy and ready to go, he will be the Seattle Seahawks starting running back this season.

However, the All Pro running back missed Sunday's game against the San Francisco 49ers with an abdominal injury — an injury that will lead to Lynch to Philadelphia to meet with a specialist in that field on Monday.

Reports from Seattle indicated Sunday night that everything and anything is on the table regarding Lynch's injury, which could be an indication that he will be out for a bit.

Filling in for Lynch on Sunday, un-drafted rookie free agent Thomas Rawls put up 255 total yards and two touchdowns in the 29-13 win.

For Rawls, this was a coming out part of sorts. The Central Michigan product did have a stellar three-game stretch with Lynch banged up earlier in the year. Over the course of those three games, the first-year running back tallied 321 rushing yards.

With Lynch's future in Seattle unsettled, there's a darn good chance that he will not be with the team in 2016. Lynch has an $11.5 million cap hit with just $5 million in dead money next year. Meanwhile, Rawls is set to earn just $530,000.
