With Bruce Gradkowski having to undergo thumb surgery, it appears that the Pittsburgh Steelers are not okay with the idea of being one Ben Roethlisberger injury away from throwing Landry Jones into the fire.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Pittsburgh Steelers will visit with veteran free-agent quarterback Michael Vick:
Vick, 35, has been waiting for his phone to ring for months now. The four-time Pro Bowler started three games for the New York Jets last season, throwing three touchdowns compared to two interceptions while completing less than 53 percent of his passes. With skills that seem to be rapidly deteriorating, it's possible that Vick's new role should he want to continue his career will be as nothing more than an emergency backup.
