Most Disappointing Fantasy Quarterbacks Through Week 10

Cam Newton, Carolina Panthers

While Newton has missed one game with a concussion, it's still rather clear that his per-game averages are down a great deal from last season. In fact, the reigning NFL MVP ranks 14th among fantasy quarterbacks in points and is ranked outside of the top eight in points per game. This comes on the heels of a 2015 campaign that saw Cam finish as the top fantasy quarterbacks.

Through his first nine starts of the season, the struggling Panthers quarterback has tallied just 10 passing touchdowns compared to seven interceptions. He's also averaging just 32.6 rushing yards per game. This has Newton as the 14th-most consistent fantasy quarterback on the season. Talk about a drag for those of you who selected him in the first two rounds.

Russell Wilson, Seattle Seahawks

Wilson has definitely picked it up in recent weeks. He's actually the third-best fantasy quarterback over the past two weeks. Though, this doesn't change just how poorly the Seahawks' starter performed from a fantasy persepective earlier in the season. Over the course of his first seven starts, Wilson compiled five total touchdowns.

Now, heading into Week 11, the former Super Bowl quarterback ranks 18th at his position in fantasy points and an absurdly low 29th in fantasy consistency. The good news here is that Wilson is seemingly healthy for the first time all season and has put up six touchdowns over the past two games.

Carson Palmer, Arizona Cardinals

After finishing last season as the fifth-best fantasy quarterback, many expected Palmer to exceed those expectations this year. After all, he was returning a full reciver group, had just picked up an All-Pro guard in Evan Mathis and was getting help from sophomore stud David Johnson in the backfield. What's followed has been a disastrous all-around fantasy performance from the regressing veteran.

Palmer heads into Week 11 as the 20th-best fantasy quarterback, which makes him barely a rosterable option in 12-team leagues. He's thrown for 2,444 yards in eight games, but has also tossed just 11 touchdowns compared to eight interceptions. That's down considerably from a 35-to-11 ratio a season ago.
