Both the Kansas City Chiefs and Denver Broncos continue to win games, and are undefeated this year with a 5-0 record. On the other hand, the Oakland Raiders and San Diego Chargers are both 2-3. This week, the Chiefs and Broncos will look to remain undefeated while the Raiders and Chargers look to upset some very good teams.
The Oakland Raiders will travel to Kansas City to take on the Chiefs in Week 6. The Raiders are coming off a big win against the Chargers last Sunday. The silver and black beat the bolts 27-17 with quarterback Terrelle Pryor leading the way. The Oakland defense also made some big plays including Charles Woodson and D.J. Hayden, who had his first career interception; Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers threw three picks in Week 5. There’s no doubt the Raiders have some momentum on their side, but this week they’ll have to play an undefeated and much improved Chiefs team. Arrowhead is never an easy place to play, but it’s an even tougher stadium when the Chiefs are playing well. Alex Smith and company are coming off yet another win, as they beat the Tennessee Titans 26-17 last week. Head coach Andy Reid has helped turn this team around, and Smith has been solid for them at the quarterback position. KC also has a pretty good defense. The Chiefs are the favorites in this game, but the Raiders will look to pull out an upset and beat their division rival.
Peyton Manning and the Broncos have been unstoppable this year as they continue to show just why they are Superbowl favorites. The Broncos will host the 0-5 Jacksonville Jaguars this week in what will be a very easy win for Denver. Last week, the Dallas Cowboys gave the Broncos a run for their money as they nearly pulled an upset, but in the end, Denver left Dallas with another win as they took the game 51-48. Jacksonville lost to the St. Louis Rams 34-20 last week. There’s no doubting that the Jaguars are one of, if not the, worst team in the league. Manning and company will breeze through the game and be 6-0 at the end of the day.
The Chargers will host the 4-1 Indianapolis Colts for Monday Night Football this week. San Diego is coming off a loss to the Raiders, while the Colts are coming off a very impressive 34-28 victory over the Seattle Seahawks. In only his second year, Colts quarterback Andrew Luck is playing extremely well, and is working his way to being one of the best in the league. Rivers is coming off a not so good game in which he threw three crucial interceptions. The Chargers will look to rebound and get a victory against a very good Indy squad, but it won’t be easy as the Colts are the favorites in this matchup.
