The Green Bay Packers will likely be without to cornerback Sam Shields for Sunday's wildcard battle against Washington. Shields, who suffered a concussion on December 13 against the Dallas Cowboys, has yet to be cleared through the concussion protocol.
While concussions are always concerning, often times players make it through the concussion protocol fairly smoothly. For Shields to be nearly a month since he suffered the concussion and still having problems, it certainly has to raise concerns for his long-term health.
With Shields expected to miss another game, rookie cornerback Damarious Randall should start in his place once again. While the 2015 first-round pick has shown plenty of promise this season, he does not match up well with DeSean Jackson's speed, which will cause even more problems for Green Bay. Jackson makes for a phenomenal play in daily fantasy football this week.
