Pat's NFL Draft Top 50 Big Board

1. Luke Joekel   OT  Texas A&M
Joekel is the best tackle coming out of college since Tony Boselli.  He is worthy of the number one overall pick in the draft.

2. Star Lotulelei   DT  Utah
Lotulelei is the top defensive tackle in the draft and should be gone in the top three picks. His size only will cause opposing linemen to have issues containing him.

3. Jarvis Jones   DE/OLB Georgia
Jones played end in a loaded SEC but was able to cause problems in the pass and run game.  Any of my top three players can easily go number one in this year’s draft.

4. Dee Milliner   DB Alabama
Milliner will be a great cover corner for any team in the top five.  He will command respect of the opposing quarterback and can change routes that wide receivers try to run against him.

5. Tyler Wilson   QB  Arkansas
At 6’3 Wilson is the prototypical size for a quarterback in the NFL.  He has the ability to make all the throws.

6. Chance Warmack  OG  Alabama
Warmack is an absolute road grader and can instantly improve any team in need of an interior lineman.  Alabama running backs had no issues finding holes in the running game with him out front.

7. Bjoern Werner   DE/LB  Florida State
Werner would be a good fit for a team looking for a difference maker at end.

8. Geno Smith   QB  West Virginia
Smith’s progressions and read ability makes him a fit for a West Coast Offense

9. Keenan Allen  WR California
In terms of size he is a bigger wide receiver and a good target in the passing game.

10. Sheldon Richardson DT Missouri
Richardson’s athletic ability has earned him a spot in my top 10.

11. Johnthan Banks  DB Mississippi State
With Banks’ size it will make it difficult for quarterbacks to throw over the top of him.

12. Johnathan Hankins DT Ohio State
Hankins’ ability to shed blockers and eat up double teams reminds me of Casey Hampton of the Steelers.

13. Dion Jordon  DE/LB Oregon
With the size and athletic ability of Jordon he fits as either a 4-3 defensive end or 3-4 outside linebacker.

14. Manti Te’o  LB Notre Dame
I dropped Te’o out of my top ten due to a poor performance in the National Championship game. Could easily rise on the board with good pro day and combine workouts.

15. Damontre Moore DE Texas A&M
With Moore’s size he is a great fit as an end and is athletic enough to be a linebacker.  He disrupts the passing and running game effectively.  Reminds me of Demarcus Ware and Von Miller.

16. Tavon Austin  WR West Virginia
Austin is a dynamic runner and a game breaker.  His ability to catch and run the ball make him a top 20 player.  Also can be huge for a team needing that returner to break open a game.

17. Jesse Williams  DT Alabama
Williams is the type of player that want on your team, he takes pressure off of defensive ends and linebackers by taking double teams.

18. Barkevious Mingo DE Louisiana State
Even though Mingo only accumulated 4.5 sacks this season he is still in my top 20 because of his ability to stop the run. In my mock draft I have in the top 15.

19. Eric Reid  S Louisiana State
Reid is my number one safety in this year’s class.  Reid is a punishing hitter who can cover, reminds me of Darren Woodson or Laron Landry.

20. Tyler Eifert  TE Notre Dame
Eifert’s athletic ability can stretch a team out.  Given the right situation can be very dangerous for opposing linebackers and safteys.

21. Jonathan Cooper OG North Carolina
Cooper is rated the number two offensive guard and in 9 of 12 games this season had double digit knockdown blocks. Top 20 draft pick.

22. Barrett Jones  C/G Alabama
Jones was the offensive line captain on a loaded Crimson Tide team.  Projected as the number 24 pick in the upcoming draft; He can also slide to guard.

23. Justin Hunter  WR Tennessee
Hunter burst onto the scene this year as Tyler Bray’s go to receiver.  His size makes him a top receiver pick for the outside.  Hunter is a great route runner and explosive coming out of his breaks.

24. D.J. Fluker  OT Alabama
Fluker displayed his physical abilities in the National Championship Game and can be expected to play at that level in the NFL.

25. Eric Fisher  OT Central Michigan
I see Fisher as a top 15 pick but ranked him at 25 due to the level of competition he faces.  The Senior Bowl is the perfect opportunity for him to make his mark as a top tackle in this years draft.

Here is a quick look at my big board prospects 26-50.
