Philadelphia Eagles Claim Stephen Morris off Waivers

Now we know which quarterback will be replacing Tim Tebow on the Philadelphia Eagles 53-man roster. The Eagles claimed former Miami Hurricanes quarterback Stephen Morris off waivers from the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Morris went undrafted out of the 2014 NFL Draft and spent his rookie season on the Jaguars' practice squad. He played in the Jaguars' final two preseason games this year, completing 20 of 33 passes for 198 passing yards and one touchdown.

Now in Philadelphia, he will serve as the Eagles' third-string quarterback, meaning practice reps will be hard to come by. If Philadelphia reaches a situation where Morris has to see the field, they will be far past "trouble". As a third-string quarterback, he is a fine option.
