Quick Injury Updates Following Sunday's Week 4 NFL Action

Washington Redskins tight end Jordan Reed suffered a concussion and sprained MCL. While Reed will have to go through the league's concussion protocol, the sprained MCL has to be a larger concern. There's currently no timetable for Reed's return. The third-year player from Florida has put up 24 receptions for 278 yards and a score in four games this season.

Considering Niles Paul was lost for the season during Washington's exhibition slate, losing Reed is a huge blow. Derek Carrier will likely start for the foreseeable future.

Dallas Cowboys running back Lance Dunbar is expected to miss the remainder of the season with a serious knee injury. The team fears that Dunbar, one of the members of its three-headed backfield, torn his ACL and MCL Sunday night against the New Orleans Saints.

With Dunbar now lost for the season, Darren McFadden and Joseph Randle will share primary ball-carrier duties. The recently acquired Christine Michael, who actually attempted a rush in Sunday night's loss, will likely see a bit of action as well.

Denver Broncos wide receiver Demaryius Thomas suffered a minor neck injury in the team's win over the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday. Thomas is said to be doing just fine, and is a little bit sore. This won't have an impact on him moving forward.

Dallas Cowboys linebacker Sean Lee suffered a concussion on Sunday. He's obviously going to have to go through the league's concussion protocol before being cleared for action. It's something to keep an eye on with Dallas slated to take on Rob Gronkowski and the New England Patriots next week.

St. Louis Rams linebacker Alec Ogletree suffered what looked to be a serious knee injury Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals. The expectation here is that the star linebacker will be placed on injured reserve with a designation to return

Updating some information regarding inactives this past week.

The Indianapolis Colts expect Andrew Luck to be ready for the team's game against the Houston Texans on Thursday night. Luck missed Sunday's win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. And there was some concern he might not be able to go with a short week prior to Thursday's game.

Carolina Panthers linebacker Luke Kuechly has miss the past three games with a concussion. Unfortunately for the undefeated Panthers, Kuechly remains in the league's concussin protocol. There's no telling when he will be able to return to action.

Dallas Cowboys vice president Stephen Jones indicated on Monday that there is a "good chance" Dez Bryant will be able to return after the team's Week 6 bye. This is the same stance Dallas has taken since Bryant was injured in the Cowboys Week 1 win over the New York Giants. It's good news for a Cowboys team that has lost two in a row with both Bryant and Tony Romo sidelined.

Buffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy is likely going to miss at least the next three weeks after an MRI showed that he has a tear in the hamstring. McCoy sat out Buffalo's Week 4 loss to the New York Giants after suffering the injury during practice last week. With McCoy out of action, Karlos Williams will continue to start for Buffalo.

As you already know, Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch will miss Monday night's game against the Detroit Lions. There's no telling when Lynch will be able to return to action after suffering the hamstring injury last week.
