Random Fantasy Football Musings Heading Into Week 4

The Buffalo Bills enter Sunday's game against the New England Patriots having yielded the most receptions and targets to receivers on the season. Interestingly enough, we have no idea whether Julian Edelman will be able to take advantage of this.

With both Jacoby Brissett and Jimmy Garoppolo questionable to play, Edelman could be forced into actually starting under center at quarterback. No, really, this could be a thing.

Assuming Garoppolo is good to go, as reported, Edelman become a tremendous DFS play against a horrible Bills pass defense.

Speaking of horrible, the New Orleans Saints are giving up an average of 200 total yards to running backs on the season. In fact, running backs are averaging an absurd 5.4 yards per attempt against New Orleans. This bodes well for Melvin Gordon and the Chargers come Sunday afternoon. Look for a huge performance from him here.

Stefon Diggs and Marvin Jones Jr., two wide receivers to definitely keep an eye on this weekend. Diggs takes his talents and early-career success to Monday night against a New York Giants defense that's decimated by injury. It's a defense that's yieldin the 12th-most fantasy points to receivers on the season while giving up a 65 percent catch rate.

Some may be thrown for a loop by Diggs' early-season success (20-of-27 passes caught for 325 yards), but here's a guy that jumped onto the scene as a rookie after being a healthy inactive for the first three games.

Including what he did last year, Diggs has now caught 72 passes for 1,045 yards and five scores in 16 games. He's also tallied a ridiculous  66 percent catch rate.

Meanwhile, Jones is absolutely tearing it up in his first season with the Lions. The former Cincinnati Bengals' mid-round pick has caught 18 passes for 408 yards in three games. He's averaging a NFL-best 22.7 yards per reception. Like Diggs, the Lions' new No. 1 receiver is taking on an injury-plagued defense. It comes in the form of the Chicago Bears, who are yielding a 63 percent catch rate to receivers this season. Look for another big outing despite Jones being limited with a hamstring injury during practice this week.

We already know the story behind both Dak Prescott and Carson Wentz. The two rookies have now gone a combined six games and 201 pass attempts without a turnover. They've also combined for eight touchdowns en route to leading their teams toa combined 5-1 record.

While Wentz and his Philadelphia Eagles are on a bye, Prescott leads his Dallas Cowboys to Santa Clara to take on the San Francisco 49ers. He does so without Dez Bryant in the mix, meaning that both Cole Beasley and Terrance Williams should have big games against a San Francisco defense that's yielded 83 points and nearly 1,000 total yards over the past two games.

Prescott is definitely a viable DFS play. And in reality, you'd be smart to stack him with one of those two aforementioned receivers. Beasley comes in at $5,200 in FanDuel contests after catching 20-of-25 targets for 213 yards in the first three games. Stackin him with Prescott would account for 20 percent of your cap.

An even better value play in a stacking option, Williams hasn't necessarily done much to warrant a buy-in as it relates to DFS contests. Though, he has caught 7-of-8 targets thus far this season and will be targeted more without Bryant in the lineu. Add him and Prescott to the mix for just 19.5 percent of your cap.

Week 4 also brings us the first international game on the schedule with the Indianapolis Colts and Jacksonville Jaguars taking on one another in London. This has fantasy relevance written all over it.

Jacksonville ranks in the bottom 10 against both fantasy quarterbacks and receivers. Though, Jalen Ramsey should prove to be a difficult matchup for T.Y. Hilton early Sunday morning. It's in this that Phillip Dorsett should have himself a heck of a game. He's caught only eight passes for 151 yards in three games, but will be tasked with taking on a larger role now that Donte Moncrief has been ruled out. An Andrew Luck - Dorsett stack doesn't seem like a horrible idea here.

On the other hand, Indianapolis is givin up a 67 percent catch rate to receivers this season. You don't need to be a genius to realize what this means for Allen Robinson
