Report: Alshon Jeffery "Progressing Well" from Calf Injury

The Chicago Bears are going to need all hands on deck Sunday against the defending NFC North champion Green Bay Packers. Projected by many to finish dead last in John Fox's first season as the team's head coach, the Bears are going to want to get off to a hot start at home against the Packers.

One of the key players that would have to be involved in any potential upset, wide receiver Alshon Jeffery, may end up being ready to go after suffering a calf injury this summer.

Jeffery, a fourth-year pro, is coming off a 2014 campaign that saw him record 85 receptions for 1,133 yards and 10 touchdowns. While the receptions and receiving yards numbers were down from the previous season, Jeffery's importance to the Bears' success this season is magnified even further after the team traded Brandon Marshall to the New York Jets back in March.

Fantasy-wise, you are going to want to check injury updates and inactive lists ahead of the 1:00 p.m. ET Sunday start. If Jeffery is ready to go, you have no other choice to start him. In terms of DFS, he remains a risky early-season proposition.
