Report: Andrew Luck Has Been Playing with Fractured Ribs

Struggling Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck has apparently been playing with multiple fractured ribs since Week 3 — the same span that has seen him also suffer through an injured throwing shoulder.

Fox Sports NFL insider Jay Glazer was the first to report the news:

This would explain why Luck has struggled a great deal during the first half of the season. He's thrown nine interceptions while turning the ball over a total of 11 times in five starts. The Pro Bowl performer also missed two games earlier in the season due to the aforementioned shoulder injury.

It will be interesting to see if Luck is able to improve his performance the further he moves away from suffering both injuries. At 3-4 on the season, Indianapolis needs him to revert back to his old form. If not, this team could be in major trouble moving forward.

Indy take on the Panthers in Carolina on Monday night.
