Report: Brian Hoyer Not Expected to Play in Week 16

The Houston Texans quarterback position certainly hasn't worked out as they had hoped this season. Even when it appeared they found a reliable starter in Brian Hoyer concussions sidelined him. After suffering his second concussion of the season in Week 14, Hoyer is now expected to miss his second straight game.

Hoyer suffered his first concussion of the season in Week 11 and was replaced by T.J. Yates. Yates started in Week 11 and Week 15, but suffered a torn ACL against the Indianapolis Colts and was replaced by Brandon Weeden. With Hoyer now expected to be out, Weeden will start against the Miami Dolphins.

This will be the second team Weeden has started a game for this season and given his stint with the Dallas Cowboys and how he looked last week in relief of Yates, his presence hurts DeAndre Hopkins' fantasy value in Week 16. The only player who might receive a fantasy boost is Alfred Blue, who should see more carries with Houston's third-string quarterback behind center.
