Concern crept up for Buffalo Bills fans and everyone with LeSean McCoy penciled into their lineups this week when Rex Ryan said the team was "a little bit concerned" about McCoy's hamstring after he was limited in practice on Friday. But it appears that concern isn't too pessimistic given Dianna Marie Russini's report.
McCoy's hamstring took him out of practice on Thursday and injuries late in the week are always of greater concern when a game is right around the corner. Those concerns had merit given McCoy dealt with a hamstring injury for most of the preseason, so it was very possible he aggravated the injury.
While questions about his availability for Sunday's game now seem to be cast aside for the time being, we won't know how effective of a runner he will be. McCoy uses his explosiveness and cut-back ability to make play, so there is a very real chance he isn't close to the type of ability many expect from him.
Buffalo will almost certainly give more carries to Karlos Williams in this game and after his six-carry, 55-yard performance last week, he could be very productive against a suspect Patriots' run defense if he is given 10-plus touches.
