Report: Ryan Mathews (Concussion) Out for Week 11

The Philadelphia Eagles running back pairing of Ryan Mathews and DeMarco Murray has worked out quite well this year. Mathews has over 530 total yards and six total touchdowns, while Murray has over 700 total yards and five total touchdowns. But a heavier workload will now be on Murray's shoulders with Mathews expected to miss Sunday's game with a concussion.

Mathews suffered the concussion last week against the Miami Dolphins and did not return to the field. He has been going through the concussion protocol this week but was not cleared in time, leading to him being ruled out for Week 11 on Friday. With Mathews set to be an inactive, Ian Rapoport indicates Kenjon Barner will take his place on the active roster for the first time this season.

Barner should not see much of any role on Sunday, though Darren Sproles should step into the change-of-pace role, seeing more work than he normally does. The featured back on Sunday will be Murray, where he should find himself in the same role as last week when Mathews left early in the game. Murray finished Sunday's game with 22 carries for 61 rushing yards and six receptions for 58 receiving yards.

Given the high workload, Murray should put up solid numbers even with a tough matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Murray will be a top-10 running back this week and should be a fixture in a few of your DFS lineups on DraftKings.
