Daily fantasy football players are always on the lookout for the bargain play who could turn in the breakout game and carries a low ownership percentage. We might have our target for Week 3 with the report that Tennessee Titans rookie wide receiver Taywan Taylor could see an expanded role in Week 3.
The report comes from ESPN's Cameron Wolfe, who highlighted Taylor as the wide receiver who could step up and see a much heavier snap count with Corey Davis out for Week 3.
As a result, Taylor makes for a great target on DFS sites like DraftKings. The third-round pick in the 2017 NFL Draft, Taylor comes at a bargain bin price of $3,600. With that price and a DFS owner spending between $3,200-$3,00 on a Defense/Special Teams, they'll be in position to spend nearly $6,200 on every player. When you add in further value plays at quarterback or running back, that could lead to the perfect mix of bargain plays and studs to help you cash in.
Taylor's price is a big factor in why he is highlighted as a DFS play. But even more so is the increased snaps in an underrated matchup. Many fear the Seattle Seahawks secondary and for good reason, it remains one of the better units in the NFL. But we've seen their cornerbacks encounter issues in the past with quick, shift wide receivers who can make cuts and get into open space quickly. Taylor's ability to turn in a big play at any moment and the increase snaps in Week 3, make him a worthy lotto ticket in DFS this weekend.
