Report: Tom Brady Has High-Ankle Sprain

It's probably a good thing that the New England Patriots wrapped up a first-round playoff bye prior to losing to the Miami Dolphins on Sunday.

More so than actually not having to play during the wild card weekend, it appears that the Patriots need that week of rest to get starting quarterback Tom Brady healthy.

NFL Media's Albert Breer is reporting that Brady suffered a high-ankle sprain in Sunday's game against Miami.

This could be one fo the reasons why Brady was pulled with two minutes left and his team down by 10 points.

Depending on the severity of the sprain, they usually tend to be multiple-week injuries — a bad sign for the Patriots.

Though, Breer went on to indicate that the Patriots believe Brady will be able to go when they host a divisional round game in a bit less than two weeks.

This is definitely something to keep an eye on as the Patriots start preparation to defend their Super Bowl title.
