The Cincinnati Bengals will reportedly be without tight end Tyler Eifert again this week after he suffered a concussion Week 14 against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Eifert missed last week's win against the San Francisco 49ers and has previously missed action with a stinger earlier in the year.
With their star tight end out of action last week, the Bengals were forced to spread the ball around a bit more in the passing game. That was only magnified by the surprising back issue A.J. Green reported prior to the game.
Rookie tight end Tyler Kroft caught all three passes thrown in his direction with a touchdown in a 24-14 win over the hapless San Francisco 49ers. Meanwhile, Marvin Jones nabbed four receptions for 89 yards.
Helping fill the void with Eifert out, running back Giovani Bernard also caught all four passes thrown in his direction.
It's likely going to be much of the same this week against a Denver Broncos defense that has been among the best in the NFL against the pass.
Even if Green is able to show he's 100 percent healthy, he has a pretty bad matchup against a corner in Chris Harris who will be looking to avenge a horrendous performance against Pittsburgh's Antonio Brown last week.
With A.J. McCarron still under center, I would recommend avoiding every Bengals skill-position player in DFS contests this week. That's only magnified with Eifert out of action.
