Rumblings Andrew Luck Could Start Season on PUP List, Fantasy Ramifications Wide Spread

Following offseason shoulder surgery, the expectation all along has been that Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck would be ready at some point during training camp. And while most believed he wouldn't see preseason action, there wasn't a whole lot of concern about his ability to start Week 1.

That can now be thrown out the window.

According to Jason La Canfora over at CBS Sports, there are now rumblings that Luck could very well start the regular season on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list. This would cost Luck the first six weeks of the regular season with Scott Tolzien taking over under center in his stead. That's no bueno for fantasy football owners the world over. Luck's current ADP has him as the fifth quarterback off the board at the end of the fourth round. And with Tolzien not acting as a fantasy-relevant option should Luck miss the first six weeks, this is an absolutely huge deal.

Luck has finished each of his past three full seasons as a top-four fantasy quarterbacks. Expectations heading into the 2017 campaign were that this might be the case again. We'll surely have to keep an eye on this story as the remainder of training camp plays out. But as of now, avoid Luck like he's the plague.
