Down 31-0 heading into the second of half of Sunday's NFC Divisional Playoff game against the Carolina Panthers, the Seattle Seahawks knew they needed to put the ball in the air to mount an unlikely comeback.
That's exactly what the team did in an eventual 31-24 loss to Carolina.
Russell Wilson completed 31-of-48 passes for 366 yards with three touchdowns and two interceptions in the loss.
Meanwhile, Jermaine Kearse added 11 receptions for 110 yards and two scores on 15 targets.
After the first three games of the divisional playoffs, these two sit at the top of their respective positions in fantasy points — something most of us wouldn't have come close to predicting in DFS contests prior to the start of this weekend's action.
Wilson's first half miscues led to the big hole and eventual defeat. He threw a pick-six on Seattle's initial possession of the game — a mistake that led to an early 14-0 deficit.
Despite this, Wilson's statistical day was among the best of his career. In defeat, at least he can hold his head high on that.
