Sam Bradford Suffers Sprained Ankle in Season Opener

The last thing the Philadelphia Eagles needed the day after suffering a surprising season-opening loss to the Atlanta Falcons on Monday night was to see starting quarterback Sam Bradford show up on the injury list.

But that's exactly what is going to happen heading into the team's Week 2 outing against the Dallas Cowboys:

A couple things to note here. Any injury news relating to Bradford, who has two torn ACL's in the past two calendar years, isn't a good sign for Philadelphia. Secondly, it's interesting that he was walking just fine after spraining his ankle. Let's see how that ankle feels a day or two removed from the injury. Anyone who has suffered a sprain knows exactly what I am talking about there.

As it is, this is definitely something to keep an eye on as the week progresses. Bradford has been the most injury-plagued quarterback north of D.C. over the past couple seasons. And in reality, Philadelphia needs him at 100 percent to contend in the NFC East.
