A player leaving practice early during camp probably shouldn't be newsworthy. That is thrown out the window when the player is Buffalo Bills wide receiver Sammy Watkins, who dealt with nagging injuries throughout his rookie campaign—one in the groin area included.
The second-year receiver exited Tuesday's practice about an hour early with gluteal (upper thigh, buttocks area) tightness. While this is in no way a serious injury, it's definitely something to monitor. Watkins was still able to put up 65 receptions for nearly 1,000 yards and six scores while playing through some minor injuries as a rookie.
Watkins current ADP has him as the 22nd receiver off the board and a mid fifth-round pick. That still remains solid value for a young player of his ilk.
