After being handed the team's starting job in Week 2, rookie running back Chris Carson responded by putting up 218 total yards and a score over the next three games.
He's now going to miss the remainder of the season with a broken foot and an injured ankle. Carson was placed on IR Monday and underwent surgery on the injury Tuesday.
Needless to say, this is a major blow for a Seahawks offense that has not yielded a whole lot in the run game. With Carson injured for the second half of Sunday's blowout win over the Indianapolis Colts, veteran Eddie Lacy responded by putting up 52 yards on 11 attempts. He'll likely be given the opportunity to be he team's primary ball carrier moving forward.
Though, the injury plagued C.J. Prosise and Thomas Rawls could have a say in that if they get 100 percent healthy. As of right now, Lacy should be the waiver wire add in Seattle.
