While many will still be cautious given what took place last week, Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Carroll expects running back Marshawn Lynch to play in the divisional round on Sunday against the Carolina Panthers. Lynch was expected to play last week than didn't travel to Minnesota, now it appears there is more optimism that he plays.
If Lynch is able to suit up and play on Sunday, he should see enough carries to be on the daily fantasy football radar. Lynch has been out of action since November 15, a two-month absence for "Beast Mode". Christine Michael should see some carries to help spell Lynch, but the running game should largely belong to Lynch.
The issue for Lynch from a DFS perspective is that the Panthers' defense has allowed the fourth-fewest rushing yards per game this season Seattle's offensive line has been exposed this year versus upper-echelon front sevens, which could pose a problem for the Seahawks against Carolina. Lynch is a risky DFS play in the divisional round.
