Ben Roethlisberger may have returned to limited participation in 11-on-11 drills this week, but it seems a more realistic target for him to return to the field is Week 8.
Steelers offensive coordinator Todd Haley pretty much confirmed this notion on Thursday:
This is an indication that Roethlisberger will likely be a game-time decision with the wind blowing in the direction of him not playing against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Considering the game has a 1:00 p.m. ET start time, we will know during the morning whether Big Ben is indeed active. That will give you time to re-set your lineup based on the final determination. In daily contests, Landry Jones become a pretty decent cheap option if you are looking for value at quarterback. In standard leagues, he's not even a rosterable commodity at this point.
If Big Ben does suit up, it changes everything from an offensive perspective against a Chiefs defense that ranks 29th in the NFL against fantasy quarterbacks and has yielded the most fantasy points to receivers on the season.
