There is a new No. 1 in my tight end rankings through three weeks. Who would have imagined that after Rob Gronkowski and Jimmy Graham dominated this position last season? Neither sit atop the rankings through the initial couple outings of the 2012 NFL season.
Rather, Vernon Davis finds himself the top fantasy tight end in the National Football League thus far this season. Not only has Davis recorded four touchdowns through three games this season, he has accumulated a whopping 579 yards and 10 touchdowns over the course of his last seven games, postseason included. There is absolutely no reason to believe that these numbers are going to drop off either.
Meanwhile, you see the normal cast of characters listed among the top 10 fantasy tight ends. Just how long has Tony Gonzalez been a reliable fantasy player in the NFL? That seriously is astonoshing at this point.
