1. Drew Brees, New Orleans Saints
The second-ranked fantasy quarterback going up against a Dallas Cowboys defense that has yeilded the most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks. Need I really say much more here? Heck, even Christian Ponder finished Week 9 as the 13th-ranked fantasy quarterback.
The Cowboys' defense is also on pace to give up the most single-season passing yards in the history of the league. For his part, Brees is in the midst of a six-game stretch that has seen him tally 18 touchdowns compared to four interceptions. Expect a huge game here and don't look back.
Projected Statistics: 345 passing yards, three touchdowns and zero interceptions
2. Peyton Manning, Denver Broncos
By early-season Manning' standards, the last four games have been somewhat of a struggle. After opening the season with 16 touchdowns and zero interceptions he has thrown six picks in his last four games. With that said, Manning is still on pace to shatter the single-season touchdown mark and is the No. 1 fantasy quarterback by a rather large margin. Denver now goes up against a San Diego Chargers defense that is giving up an average of 21 fantasy points to opposng quarterbacks, which is the second-most in the league.
Projected Statistics: 345 passing yards, three touchdowns and one interception
3. Matthew Stafford, Detroit Lions
Talk about a bounce-back season. Stafford is on pace to throw for over 5,200 yards but has been intercepted just six times in eight games. That's quite the turnaround from the 20 touchdowns compared to 16 interceptions he put up in a down 2012 season. This has the former No. 1 overall pick as a top-five fantasy quarterback through nine weeks. Interestingly enough, Detroit takes on a Chicago Bears defense that ranks in the bottom half of the NFL against fantasy quarterbacks.
Projected Statistics: 335 passing yards, three touchdowns and one interception
4. Philip Rivers, San Diego Chargers
Fresh off a disappointing loss to the Washington Redskins, Rivers and Co. are now tasked with taking on a 7-1 Denver Broncos team in San Diego on Sunday. The good news for those who lucked out by drafting Rivers prior to the season is that Denver has given up the sixth-most fantasy points to quarterbacks this season. They're giving up an average of 318 yards and over two touchdowns per game. For his part, Rivers is the seventh-ranked fantasy quarterback through nine weeks.
Projected Statistics: 320 passing yards, three touchdowns and one interception
5. Jake Locker, Tennessee Titans
You look at the numbers and having Locker here makes absolutely no sense. He's the 25th-ranked fantasy quarterback and is averaging just eight touchdowns in six games. He is, however, having a solid statistical season when it comes to every other factor. The third-year quarterback has thrown just three interceptions in 174 pass attempts and is completing 61 percent of his passes. Tennessee will also a winless Jacksonville Jaguars team that is giving up the fourth-most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks this season.
Projected Statistics: 220 passing yards, 20 rushing yards, three touchdowns and zero interceptions
