Top 5 Fantasy Quarterbacks for Week 7

1. Tony Romo, Dallas Cowboys

2013 Statistics: 70.2 completion, 1,693 passing yards, 14 touchdowns and three interceptions

Going up against a Philadelphia Eagles pass defense that is yielding an average of 328 yards and over two touchdowns per game to opposing quarterbacks wil be some good tonic for Romo, who struggled from a fantasy aspect last week against the Washington Redskins. Romo is the No. 4 fantasy quarterback this season and have put up above-average production in four of his six starts this season. That type of inconsistency may worry some, but he should have a stellar outing against the Eagles in what might be a high-scoring affair.

Projected Statistics: 345 passing yards, three touchdowns and zero interceptions

2. Peyton Manning, Denver Broncos

2013 Statistics: 74.2 completion, 2,179 passing yards, 23 total touchdowns and two interceptions

Despite what was a struggle last week against the Jacksonville Jaguars (Manning wasn't even a solid QB2 option), he is still on pace to throw for nearly 6,000 yards and tally over 60 touchdowns, both of which would be records. Throw in a homecoming of sorts against the Indianapolis Colts and the headline-making comments Jim Irsay made, and you have the makings for what promises to be a huge fantasy performance. The old saying "wake up a sleeping giant" hold true to an extent, except for the fact that Manning is wide awake at this point in his career. He's going to want to make a statement against his former team on national television. While Indianapolis ranks among the top-10 fantasy defenses against quarterbacks this season, Manning will have himself a game on Sunday Night Football.

Projected Statistics: 375 passing yards, three touchdowns and one interception

3. Andrew Luck, Indianapolis Colts

2013 Statistics: 61.8 completion, 1,346 passing yards, 154 rushing yards, nine total touchdowns and three interceptions

If you don't think Luck will want to make a statement against Peyton Manning, you simply don't know a whole lot about the competitive edge that he has. As the heir apparent to a future Hall of Fame quarterback, Luck has been successful in his own right in his first season-plus as the Colts' quarterback. Despite less-than-stellar touchdown numbers, Luck is still the ninth-ranked fantasy quarterback through six weeks. He goes up against a Broncos' defense that is yielding an average of 355 passing yards to opposing signal callers.

Projected Statistics: 285 passing yards, three touchdowns and one interception

4. Cam Newton, Carolina Panthers

2013 Statistics: 60.8 completion, 1,127 passing yards, 153 rushing yards, 11 total touchdowns and five interceptions

It's interesting to see, but Newton hasn't even been a QB1 option trough six weeks. In fact, he's been nothing more than an inconsistent top-tier QB2. That didn't stop him from putting up the best fantasy numbers in Week 6 against the Minnesota Vikings, a sign that he might be returning to form. Carolina goes up against a St. Louis Rams' defense that might rank in the top half of the NFL against opposing quarterbacks, but has struggled covering receivers outside of where Janoris Jenkins is lining up. In addition, the Rams have been incredibly vulnerable against the run, which should help Newton on the ground.

Projected Statistics: 220 passing yards, 90 rushing yards, two touchdowns and one interception

5. Russell Wilson, Seattle Seahawks

2013 Statistics: 61.4 completion, 1,254 passing yards, 294 rushing yards, eight total touchdowns and four interceptions

Wilson is on the fringe as a QB1 right now. He's been inconsistent, at best. He's been a below-average fantasy quarterback in half of his starts, two of which have come on the road. Going into Arizona to play a tough Cardinals team on short rest seems to indicate that Wilson won't put up great numbers. The issue with that argument is that Arizona is great against the run and running back Marshawn Lynch appears to be banged up a tad. In order for the Seahawks to come away with a win, they will need Wilson to air it out  more and beat the Cardinals on the ground. Even if Arizona does pull off an upset victory, Wilson will put up top of the line fantasy numbers.

Projected Statistics: 230 passing yards, 65 rushing yards, two touchdowns and one interception
