Top 5 Fantasy Wide Receivers for Week 14

1. Calvin Johnson, Detroit Lions

The No. 1 fantasy receiver going up against the defense that has yielded the most fantasy points to opposing receivers this season. Yeah, let's do the math here. Johnson has put up 100-plus yards in five of his last six games and has put up more fantasy points in those six games than all but seven other receivers have put up all season long. For their part, the Philadelphia Eagles have yielded an average of 30 fantasy points to opposing starting receivers this season. Look for a huge game from Johnson in this one.

Projected Statistics: 10 receptions, 180 yards and two touchdowns

2. DeSean Jackson, Philadelphia Eagles

It might not be as dramatic as Johnson's matchup, but Jackson is primed to have himself yet another big game. As the No. 8 fantasy receiver through 13 weeks, Jackson has put up over 1,000 yards and seven scores and is on pace to have a career season. Despite struggling to the tune of three receptions for 36 yards last week against the Arizona Cardinals and Patrick Peterson, Jackson has a mighty fine matchup against a Lions' defense that ranks 31st in the NFL against fantasy receivers. He will likely be lined up against Chris Houston, who has been known to give up big games to big-time receivers. That won't change this week.

Projected Statistics: Seven receptions, 120 yards and two touchdowns

3. Kendall Wright, Tennessee Titans

In terms of PPR leagues, Wright has been an absolute stud this season. He's currently on pace for 95 receptions but has only scored two touchdowns. The second-year receiver needs to be more consistent in the red zone if he's going to be considered a true WR1 option. The good news this week, as every league either continues or starts its playoffs, is that Tennessee will be lining up against a Denver Broncos defense that ranks in the bottom 10 of the NFL against fantasy wide receivers. Add into the equation the fact that Ryan Fitzpatrick will have to air out against a high-scoring Broncos offense, and you have the makings for a huge game for Wright.

Projected Statistics: 11 receptions, 135 yards and one touchdown

4. Jordy Nelson, Green Bay Packers

Scott Tolzien may be getting the start this week for the Packers, but this doesn't mean that Nelson won't put up the necessary points to be a top-five option. Despite the issues that Green Bay has had at quarterback with Aaron Rodgers out of the lineup, Nelson is still the 11th-ranked fantasy wide receiver this season. He's also going up against a Falcons defense that ranks 26th in the NFL against fantasy receivers.

Projected Statistics: Seven receptions, 110 yards and one touchdown

5. Vincent Jackson, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Mike Glennon may have struggled last week, but it must be noted that he was going up against one of the best defenses in the NFL in the form of the Carolina Panthers. Despite those struggles, Jackson was still able to put up 75 receiving yards. He's now averaging over 100 receiving yards in his last three games. Tampa Bay will now take on a Buffalo Bills defense that has yielded the third-most fantasy points to opposing receivers this season. Expect a big outing from Jackson here.

Projected Statistics: Six receptions, 90 yards and one touchdown
