Top 5 Fantasy Wide Receivers for Week 7

1. Dez Bryant, Dallas Cowboys

2013 Statistics: 34 receptions, 459 yards and six touchdowns

In what seems like a down season thus far, Bryant is on pace for just over 1,200 receiving yards after compiling nearly 1,400 last year. He has, however, put up a score per game which has him as the third-ranked fantasy receiver through six weeks. Bryant now has the honor of going up against a Washington Redskins defense that has yielded the sixth-most fantasy points to receivers this season. Given 10-plus targets, Bryant will easily find himself atop the rankings this week. It really is that simple.

Projected Statistics: Seven receptions, 125 yards and two touchdowns

2. Justin Blackmon, Jacksonville Jaguars

2013 Statistics: 19 receptions, 326 yards and one touchdown (two games)

What an astonishing performance Blackmon has put up in his first two games of the season after serving a four-game suspension at the start. He's average 9.5 receptions for 163 yards per outing during that span. He ranked sixth among wide receivers with 19.6 points in Week 5 and third last week with 19 points. Blackmon has quickly become Chad Henne's favorite target and will be going up against a San Diego Chargers defense that is giving up an average of 202.7 yards and 1.7 scores per game to starting receivers this season. Look for Blackmon to continue his breakout campaign this week, even if it will be in a losing effort.

Projected Statistics: 10 receptions, 165 yards and one touchdown

3. Josh Gordon, Cleveland Browns

2013 Statistics: 25 receptions, 429 yards and two touchdowns (four games)

At this point, it really doesn't matter who is throwing passes to Gordon, the young receiver is going to get his catches. Gordon is averaging over six receptions and 100 yards per outing this season. He's also coming off a 126-yard performance against the Detroit Lions last week. Gordon's Week 7 opponent, the Green Bay Packers, are going to be without multiple key defensive players including: Clay Matthews, Nick Perry and Brad Jones. This seems to indicate that he'll have a field day. In addition, the Packers are allowing the fourth-most points to fantasy receivers this season.

Projected Statistics: Seven receptions, 120 yards and one touchdown

4. A.J. Green, Cincinnati Bengals

2013 Statistics: 37 receptions, 464 yards and four touchdowns

We expected a bit more out of Green this season. He is the eighth-ranked fantasy receiver through six weeks and stuggled through a four-game stretch from Week 2 to Week 5 where he tallied less than 26 total fantasy points. It's not a coincidence that Andy Dalton was downright atrocious during that span. Green and Dalton then hit their stride last week against the Buffalo Bills. The talented young receiver went for over 100 yards and a score. Cincinnati now goes up against a Detroit Lions defense that allowed Josh Gordon to go off for seven receptions and 126 yards. They also rank in the bottom 10 of the NFL against fantasy receivers.

Projected Statistics: Six receptions, 110 yards and one touchdown

5. Brandon Marshall, Chicago Bears

2013 Statistics: 40 receptions, 465 yards and five touchdowns

Marshall is eating, and he's happy. After struggling during a three-game stretch that saw him tally just 24 fantasy points, Marshall went off against the New York Giants with two scores last week. Despite the emergence of Alshon Jeffery, this veteran remains Jay Cutler's favorite target. Even better news for Marshall' owners, he's going up against the worst defense in the NFL in the form of the Washington Redskins, who are giving up an average of 27.62 fantasy points to starting receivers this season. Does anyone really have DeAngelo Hall winning this matchup? I didn't think so.

Projected Statistics: Seven receptions, 100 yards and one touchdown
