Top 5 IDP Inside Linebackers for Week 5

5. Dannell Ellerbe, Miami Dolphins vs. Baltimore Ravens

The Ravens love to pound the ball between the hashes in the run game, and will do so frequently with Ray Rice and Bernard Pierce this weekend.  Joe Flacco is also a huge fan of dumping the ball off to the running back in the middle of the field.  All of this means that Ellerbe will be in line to make a number of plays on Sunday, and is a must start. 

Weekly Projection: Eight tackles (one for a loss) and one assist - 15.5 fantasy points


4. Bobby Wagner, Seattle Seahawks vs. Indianapolis Colts

Trent Richardson is a smashmouth power-back that excels between the hashes and will officially be the primary ‘back now with Ahmad Bradshaw out indefinitely, which will give Wagner a ton of opportunities to pad his stats on Sunday. 

Weekly Projection: Seven tackles (one for a loss) and five assists - 16.6 points


3. Patrick Willis, San Francisco 49ers vs. Houston Texans

Willis is listed as questionable, but is officially expected to play as of Friday evening.  Even at less-than 100 percent, Willis is still better than most starting inside linebackers in the NFL.  The Texans’ offense is based around the running game, where duties will be split between Arian Foster and Ben Tate.  The Texans count on the running game and play action to set up their passing attack, which will give the 49ers’ linebackers ample opportunity. 

Weekly Projection: Nine tackles (one for a loss), two assists and one pass defended - 19.5 points


2. Sean Lee, Dallas Cowboys vs. Denver Broncos

Lee has been the fifth best fantasy linebacker so far this season, with an impressive 56 points through four games and should have another big day against the Broncos. 

Weekly Projection: Nine tackles (one for a loss), three assists and one pass defended - 19.7 points


1. NaVorro Bowman, San Francisco 49ers vs. Houston Texans

With Willis at less than 100 percent and likely taking some plays off, Bowman will the man between the hashes for the 49ers on Sunday, and will have a big day. 

Weekly Projection: 11 tackles (one for a loss), two assists and one pass defended - 21 points
