It should go with out saying guys like Allen Hurns and Martavis Bryant should be scooped up right out the gate of your free agency period.
Outside of the obvious, I break down the top-five waiver wire adds for Week 7.
It's to the point now where you're picking up Green Bay Packers running back James Starks not just as a handcuff, but as a legitimate starter. Starks went well over 100 all-purpose yards Sunday against the San Diego Chargers and added two touchdowns while his counterpark Eddie Lacy managed just four yards on three carries.
It's clear Lacy's injuires are more severe than the Packers want to lead on, as he continues to struggle following an ankle injury he suffered Week 2 against the Seattle Seahawks.
Meanwhile, what is clear is the comfort level of Aaron Rodgers and the coaching staff of Starks as they will continue to ride his hot hand while Lacy stays on the mend for their eventual playoff push.
After spending time in Mankato for Vikings training camp, it was clear from the get go the front office got a steal in fifth-round pick Stefon Diggs. The wide receiver from Maryland subbed in for an injured Charles Johnson already has 19 targets thrown his way in which he has cashed in on 13 of those for 216 yards.
While the numbers were impressive, it was the fashion in which Diggs went about his business making tough contested catches over a solid corner tandem. Certainly, Mike Wallace is the team's number one option in the passing game, however, Diggs may have just leap frogged guys like Cordarrelle Patterson and Jarius Wright in one fell swoop putting him in front of the pecking order when it comes to playing time.
