It should go with out saying guys like Terrance Williams, Carson Palmer and James Jones should be scooped up right out the gate of your first free agency period.  

Outside of the obvious, I break down the top-five waiver wire adds for week three. 

The negative portrayal of Cincinnati quarterback Andy Dalton has gone on far enough.  Dalton proved that for the second week in a row when he added three more touchdown passes bringing his season total to five all while not throwing an interception.

Dalton also owns over a 68 percent completion percentage and has weapons for days in A.J. Green, Tyler Eifert, and thunder and lightning on the ground with Gio Bernard and Jeremy Hill. Dalton isn’t just a guy you should pick up and stash away on your bench, he is a guy you should be starting.

After being buried on the depth chart behind guys like Joseph Fauria and Brandon Pettigrew, Detroit Lions tight end Eric Ebron has moved up into the clear cut number three passing option. In fact, Pettigrew has the team's second most targets through two weeks and has cashed in on two red zone touchdowns.

After the front office spent a top-10 pick on Ebron, he finally seems to be climbing towards the price tag and expectations early in his second season. I’m scooping up Ebron in a pinch for Dwayne Allen and his ankle injury and won’t be surprised if he surprasses him into the top-10 tight ends much sooner than later.
