It should go with out saying guys like David Johnson, Matt Jones and Donte Moncrief should be scooped up right out the gate of your free agency period.
Outside of the obvious, I break down the top-five waiver wire adds for Week 4.
The negative portrayal of Cincinnati quarterback Andy Dalton has gone on long enough. Dalton proved that for the third week in a row when he added three more touchdown passes through the air and one more with his feet, bringing his season total to nine all while throwing just one interception.
Dalton also owns over a 68 percent completion percentage and has weapons for days in A.J. Green, Tyler Eifert, and thunder and lightning on the ground with Gio Bernard and Jeremy Hill. Dalton isn’t just a guy you should pick up and stash away on your bench, he is a guy you should be starting over Russell Wilson, Ryan Tannehill, and Sam Bradford.
With DeSean Jackson on the shelf with a hamstring injury and Pierre Garcon now being double covered by defenses, Washington Redskins tight end Jordan Reed has become the focal point of the teams passing attack.
Reed was the lone bright spot in the team's Thursday night loss to the New York Giants as he caught another six passes on a team-high nine targets. Reed could have easily had two touchdowns added to the mix had Cousins not underthrown him in the end zone.
With 19 catches for 241 yards Reed is averaging over 80 yards per game and has etched himself as a No. 1 tight end who is quikly becoming as consistent as the best with at least six catches in all three contests thus far.
