Jay Cutler, Quarterback, Chicago Bears
Cutler popped out a near perfect QB1 performance last week and has an excellent at-home matchup heading into Week 12 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Playing against the Bucs who currently surrender the fifth-most passing yards to opposing quarterbacks places Cutler in the position to have another extremely successful fantasy outing. The fact that Tampa Bay also has permitted an average of two passing touchdowns per game bodes well for Cutler, who has amazing and now healthy wide receivers Brandon Marshall and Alshon Jeffery hungry for more action.
Colin Kaepernick, Quarterback, San Francisco 49ers
Not always an ideal start each week has Kaepernick facing an extremely favorable opponent as the 49ers host the Washington Redskins in Week 12. Surrendering the third-highest fantasy points to their opposing quarterbacks, sets Kaepernick up for the opportunity for a better-than-average performance this week. Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ quarterback, Josh McCown just last week had a field day of a performance against Washington where he passed for 288 yards and two touchdowns. Kaepernick should find that same, if not better success in Week 12.
Arian Foster, Running Back, Houston Texans
Foster was held out last week due to a groin issue, however it appears he is on track to return in Week 12 to face a horrible Bengals’ rush defense. Thus far over the season, the Bengals have given up an average of 112 rushing yards per game and the fifth-most fantasy points to opposing running backs. Foster, who has 10 total touchdowns in just eight games, is far superior to your average running back, so he have no problem rewarding his fantasy owners with a major game in Week 12.
Rashad Jennings, Running Back, New York Giants
Jennings has finally returned back to action with his New York Giants’ team where he saw 22 snaps last week. Week 12 has him at home facing the Dallas Cowboys who allow an average of almost 4.9 yards per carry to the running back position. During their last three games, the Cowboys have allowed four rushing touchdowns and one receiving score escape to opposing backs, along with an average of 27.06 fantasy points per week to top things off. Should Jennings find his holes, he stands to earn his owners solid RB1 fantasy points.
T.Y. Hilton, Wide Receiver, Indianapolis Colts
Forget the Hilton from last Sunday night and relish in the fact that he faces an excellent matchup in Week 12 when the Colts host the Jacksonville Jaguars. Over the course of the season, the Jags have allowed an average of 174.4 yards per game to their wide receiver competition. Want more reassurance? Just two weeks ago, Dallas Cowboys’ wide receiver, Dez Bryant completely torched the Jags for 158 receiving yards on six catches, scoring two touchdowns along the way. It should be no challenge for Hilton, who has been successful versus the JJags in the past, to do his fair share of torching as well in Week 12.
Josh Gordon, Wide Receiver, Cleveland Browns
Gordon was explosive in 2013 finishing at the top of his class in fantasy points in the 14 games he played. He is slated to return to play in Week 12 and faces an Atlanta Falcons’ soft defense, currently allowing a whopping average of 36.9 fantasy points per week to opposing wideouts. The Falcons also have given up the fourth-most receiving yards which equates to about 192 per game through the air to receivers. Gordon could be a touch rusty, however this favorable Week 12 matchup presents the perfect opportunity to take Gordon off your bench and out on his first test drive of the regular season.
Charles Clay, Tight End, Miami Dolphins
Clay as an extremely favorable matchup in Week 12 versus the Denver Broncos, who have allowed the total most fantasy points to opposing tight ends over the course of their last four games. Relinquishing over 22 fantasy points per week to the position stages Clay for a better-than-average performance in Week 12. With the Broncos struggling to keep any tight end in check lately, allowing four touchdowns in four weeks, Clay should be quarterback Ryan Tannehill’s No. 1 red zone threat in Week 12.
