It's the most important time in the National Football League right now. Playoffs. One of my favorite times, others are (Major League Baseball Opening Day and the Semi-Annual Sale at Victoria's Secret). Either way it is a great week of matchups. A lot of teams have homefield advantages and playoff spots on the line.
However, for the teams who don't have much on the line, remember those quarterback may not play the whole game, so expect some bench sitting. Which I have no knowledge about. Happy Holidays and just because Santa already came, doesn't mean he is not watching for next year. You should probably follow my advice.
1. Robert Griffin III, Washington Redskins
Even though Kirk Cousins made a pretty impressive outing this season, a lot of people are excited to see Griffin III back. He faces Dallas this week and his last time against the Cowboys was insane. He torched them for 304 yards and four touchdowns. Hoping for a redundant game against Dallas this week. 24 points for RGIII.
2. Tom Brady, New England Patriots
Here's a story of a man named Brady. The Patriots quarterback has been on a tear lately. He has 4543 yards and 32 touchdowns under his belt. Expect a great game when he faces the mundane Dolphins. 23 points for your ugg-wearing boy.
3. Tony Romo, Dallas Cowboys
Romo had a ridiculous game against the Saints last week with 416 yards and four touchdowns. There is a playoff spot on the line this week in what will be a great matchup against the Redskins. Expect fantasy owners to get 23 fantasy points for your team.
4. Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay Packers
You love Rodgers' commercials, but I believe we can agree we won't be shining an Oscar for his acting skills or lack thereof. His job is on the field and he's been doing a damn good job at it. He's been carrying fantasy owners through the playoffs. The dude had 632 passing yards in two weeks. Obviously you should start him. 22 points.
5. Cam Newton, Carolina Panthers
I know, you're automatically thinking of that adorable kid warming his arm up. Newton was just as adorable when he rushed 12 times with a team high 60 yards against the Saints last week. He faces the Raiders this week. There's no title on the line but fantasy owners should be confident in starting him. 21 points for your mom's favorite quarterback.
6 . Peyton Manning, Denver Broncos
Let's take a moment of silence for the lucky son of a guns who got the non-humanlike Peyton Manning on their team. We envy you. He walked all over Cleveland last week with 339 yards and three touchdowns. With 34 touchdowns already to his name. Expect another killer game for Manning against the Chiefs. 21 points.
7. Drew Brees, New Orleans Saints
I wouldn't start those girly One Direction chicks over Brees this week. Brees tore up Dallas defense last week and expect a repeat this week when he faces Carolina who has been mediocre to say the least. Over the past two weeks, Brees has thrown for 753 yards, seven touchdowns, and no picks. Expect a good outing for Brees, and pray he keeps his day job and doesn't sing anymore. 20 points.
8. Matt Schaub, Houston Texans
Houston, we don't have a problem. Starting Schaub is a great choice this week as he faces the Colts in a game to clinch home field advantage. With 3733 yards and 22 touchdowns this season, he will land you 18 points.
9. Russell Wilson, Seattle Seahawks
You deserve to be on my list if you can run for 250 yards and receive only a 6 yard gain. Impressive. Almost as impressive as Justin Bieber's 12,000 retweets for a "goodnight." He has 431 rushing yards with 28 touchdowns under his belt. I love watching him play. He's going real at home this week. 18 points.
10. Matt Ryan, Atlanta Falcons
Keep in consideration that this week Ryan will probably sit at least the second half because the Falcons have already clinched not only a playoff spot but home field advantage. They lose this game and it's like Lady Gaga's newest outfit, nobody cares. He threw for 279 yards and four touchdowns against the Lions last week. Not a lot of playing time, but he will get you 17 points.
Honorable Mention: Ben Roethlisberger: 14 points
Honorable Mention: Andrew Luck: 14 points
