There are two rules your mother always told you: Open the car door for a lady, and listen to my fantasy football advice. Hopefully you are still going strong in your league, if not; well you probably should have listened to your mother. You know the drill, here are the top five tight ends you should start on your fantasy team this week.
1. Aaron Hernandez, New England
Hernandez did not get a lot of action last week against the Jaguars last week; however do not let that change your mind in starting him this week. He is a top tight end week to week and his numbers reflect it. Aaron has an impressive 439 receiving yards and five touchdowns this season. As long as pretty boy Brady gives him some love, expect the top tight end this week to land you 13 points.
2. Jimmy Graham, New Orleans
Jimmy Graham is Superman. He has been absolutely dominating with a sore wrist with a ridiculous 867 receiving yards and eight touchdowns to his name. Definitely start him, he has been practicing in full. He faces the Panthers this week and will get you 13 points.
3. Jason Witten, Dallas
A big congratulations to Mr. Witten for setting a new single-season record for catches by a tight-end (103). Any guy who can break the legendary Tony Gonzalez record deserves to be mentioned. Jason has an impressive 983 receiving yards on the year and is always making himself known on the field. He faces Washington this week in a great match up. Make sure you start him. 11 points.
4. Owen Daniels, Houston
Having Daniels as a fantasy owner is probably an ego boost. The dude has six touchdowns this season and even though he has not been given the ball lately, Matt Schaub should be showing him the ball this week. 10 points from Daniels.
5. Jermichael Finley, Green Bay
Finley was a savage last week in the victory against the Titans. He caught five passes for 70 yards. He is consistent week to week so starting him is not Science. This is a great guy to have on your fantasy team. 10 points from Finley and I’m suddenly curious if he borrows Clay Matthews Gillette.
Honorable Mention: Kyle Rudolph, Minnesota
Honorable Mention: Jermaine Gresham, Cincinnati
