Can Rick Nash Keep up this Level of Play?

The New York Rangers started out this season very slowly but one player on the team that did not start out slowly was forward Rick Nash as he is one of the top goal scorers in the league with 28. He's on pace for over 50 goals this season which would be a career high for him. Can he get there and keep this great season going ? Let's see.

I really do believe he can keep this up and get to 50 goals and also lead the league in goals. He plays on a team that has been red hot lately as they have won 15 of their last 17 games and currently sit 3rd in the Metropolitan divison behind the Penguins and Islanders. He needs to keep shooting like he has been all season and if he keeps doing that, he will continue to rack up goals just like Tyler Seguin does. Nash is a big power forward which means he can also use his size and his strength to get more goals this season. He can also get to the dirty areas and score goals from right in front of the net which is what he's done this season on some of his goals.

Another reason why Rick Nash has been so great this season is last he is on Derrick Brassard's line with Mats Zuccarello. Both of those players have contributed to a lot of Rick Nashs;s goals andwill probably continue to do so as the season goes on. If this line stays in tact for the rest of the season, he should have no problem setting a career high in goals.

Rick Nash has arguably been a top ten player in the NHL this season after a down year the season before. Nash has the opportunity to not only win the Rocket Richard trophy for most goals this season, but to also be a candidate for the Hart trophy as well which goes to the leagues MVP. It could be a historic season for number 61 in New York.
