There are a few teams that stand out as the best targets for your cash game lineups, and as always with 10 or more games there are lots of good choices for your GPP tournament lineups. Let’s go through a lot of information and data to help piece together the puzzle for tonight.

Top Teams to Target Today for Daily Fantasy Hockey:

Montréal Canadiens – Montréal faces the Hurricanes tonight, who are the league’s worst road team and on a five-game losing streak. The Canadiens are heavily favored tonight and should score at least three in this game, with four or five very possible. Montréal’s scoring is spread out, but the top line of Max Pacioretty, Alex Galchenyuk and Brendan Gallagher is where to target, along with defenseman P.K. Subban. You’ll want at least two of the four in your cash game lineups, and for tournaments, the top line can be stacked, or even the Habs’ second line.

St. Louis Blues – The Kings are a much different team on the road this year, and the Blues have the firepower to win big in this one. St. Louis has two strong lines that have the capability of scoring multiple goals in this game. For cash games, look to take one player from each line, along with one of defensemen Kevin Shattenkirk and Alex Pietrangelo.

TOP DEFENSEMEN PLAYS

Kevin Shattenkirk ($6,200) – With three multi-point games in his last four, Shattenkirk continues to put up big numbers and be one of the best offensive defensemen in the league. Shattenkirk leads all defensemen in powerplay points, and is amongst the D leaders in points overall. Considering the Blues’ balanced attack, getting their top defensemen in your lineups is the safest way to get a piece of the scoring.

TOP LEFT WINGER PLAYS

Alex Galchenyuk ($4,000) – Playing on the Canadiens’ top line and top powerplay unit, Galchenyuk is an excellent VALUE play tonight. His price has come down a bit after a three-game pointless streak, but that does result in a discount for using him tonight. Galchenyuk should score at least one point and break the streak.
