Daily Picks For Friday's Stanley Cup Playoff Games

The Stanley Cup playoffs have reached the midway point for the first round and we are already seeing some outstanding series right now. There are three games tomorrow and all of them are HUGE. Who will come up big? Find out here.

New York Rangers vs. Philadelphia Flyers

This could easily decide the series for the Flyers. They can’t go back to Madison Square Garden down 3-1 in the series and having to beat New York three times just to get to the second round. Claude Giroux, who has been invisible this series to this point, is going to have to be huge tomorrow. He guaranteed that the Flyers would head back to New York tied at 2-2. Philly doesn’t win a lot when Giroux doesn’t produce. In the end, I think the Rangers win this game and go home up 3-1. Rangers 3, Flyers 2.

Chicago Blackhawks at St. Louis Blues

This game is going to be outstanding and could turn the series in either direction. St. Louis won the first two games at home and then Chicago stormed back by winning games three and four at their barn. Game 5 is in St. Louis and they can’t afford to do what they did last year losing four in a row to the reigning Stanley Cup champs (Los Angeles in 2013) when they were up 2-0 in the series. Ryan Miller, Alexander Steen, and T.J Oshie are going to have to be great tomorrow. In the end, I think the Blues snap out of this losing streak and win at home and put the pressure on Chicago to return serve and stay alive in this series. Blues 4 Blackhawks 3.

Dallas Stars at Anaheim Ducks

This game is also going to be fantastic with so much at stake. After Anaheim went up 2-0 in this series, everyone thought it was over. Not so fast! Dallas has come to life after winning games three and four at home and now the series shifts back to Anaheim. Can the Ducks win? Also how will the goaltending in Anaheim be? Tons of questions for the Ducks as they could be in deep trouble right now. They don’t want to send Teemu Selanne into retirement by losing in the first round! Or as a healthy scratch! Anaheim wins this game and goes up 3-2 in the series. Ducks 4 Stars 1.
