Matt Kemp homered and drove in four runs and the Los Angeles Dodgers continued their recent offensive surge with an 8-2 win over the visiting Colorado Rockies on Tuesday.
Ted Lilly (4-4) gave up two runs and four hits with no walks and eight strikeouts over seven innings for the Dodgers, who have won their last three games by a combined score of 23-3.
Colorado lost its fourth straight series and finished May with an 8-21 record. The Rockies have lost 10 of their last 12 games.
Casey Blake added a three-run home run in the seventh for the Dodgers, who have won four of their last five.
Kemp’s 13th home run and two-run single gave him a team-high 40 RBIs.
Colorado starter Clayton Mortensen (1-3) allowed five runs over four innings. Ty Wigginton's solo home run in the seventh was his second in as many games for the Rockies.
