Heat 111, 76ers 99
Dwyane Wade erupted for a game-high 39 points as the Miami Heat used a decisive fourth-quarter run to earn a 111-99 win over the visiting Philadelphia 76ers on Friday.
Wade had his most complete game of the season, shooting 15 of 26 from the field while adding 11 rebounds, eight assists and five blocks. LeBron James chipped in with 32 points for Miami (50-22) while Chris Bosh added 20. All three men had at least 10 boards in the win.
Lou Williams had a team-high 24 points off the bench for the 76ers (37-35), who failed to gain ground in the East playoff race. Philadelphia fell three games back of idle Atlanta for fifth place in the conference. Both teams have 10 games remaining.
Wade was held scoreless in the first quarter as Miami fell behind by double digits early, but he ratcheted things up by scoring 19 of Miami's 31 points in the second period to lead the Heat to a one-point halftime advantage.
Philadelphia took charge at the end of the third quarter and the beginning of the fourth, building a seven-point advantage before Miami answered with vigor.
Wade had six straight Miami points to tie the game, and James Jones put the Heat back in front on a 3-pointer midway through the quarter. Wade then followed with a three-point play and an emphatic dunk to highlight the game-changing 21-3 run.
