Cavaliers 102, Heat 90

J.J. Hickson had 21 points and 12 rebounds and the host Cleveland Cavaliers closed the game with an 18-5 run to stun LeBron James and the Miami Heat, 102-90, on Tuesday.

In his second game back at Quicken Loans Arena since leaving for Miami, James had a triple-double with 27 points, 12 assists and 10 rebounds. But Cleveland never trailed, had an 18-0 run in the third quarter and held Miami to two baskets over the game’s final seven minutes.

Anthony Parker scored 20 points, including four 3-pointers, for the Cavs.

Cleveland's Ryan Hollins had 13 points, 12 rebounds and a big block on Chris Bosh. He also got in a shouting match with Dwyane Wade and slapped James on the head – earning him the adoration of a sellout crowd that wasn’t quite as hostile as James’ first visit on Dec. 2.

That game was a 28-point romp by the Heat, but Cavs players swore this week they would be ready for James’ return and proved they were.

Wade scored 24 points, Mike Bibby had 23 with seven 3-pointers and Bosh managed 10 on 5 of 14 shooting for the Heat, who had their five-game winning streak snapped and fell a game behind Boston for the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference.
