Hornets 93, Pistons 74
David West scored 25 points and Marco Belinelli added 22 as the New Orleans Hornets cruised to a 93-74 victory over the visiting Detroit Pistons on Wednesday.
Chris Paul had 14 assists and five steals as New Orleans (14-7) snapped a two-game losing streak. The Hornets held the Pistons to 34 first-half points and pulled away in the second half.
West hit 10-of-14 shots and Belinelli made 8-of-12, including four 3-pointers. Emeka Okafor also shot well for New Orleans, hitting 7-of-9 from the floor while scoring 14 points.
Belinelli had scored just 17 points in New Orleans’ previous three games as part of a shooting slump that saw him make just 12-of-43 shots over a five-game span.
Ben Gordon scored 19 points, Rodney Stuckey added 16 and Richard Hamilton 13 for the Pistons (7-16), who dropped to 2-11 on the road. Detroit shot just 37.5 percent, including 4-of-20 from the arc.
