Trail Blazers 97, Pacers 92
LaMarcus Aldridge continued his stellar play with 25 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Portland Trail Blazers to a 97-92 comeback victory over the visiting Indiana Pacers on Saturday.
Nicolas Batum scored 23 points as Portland (25-20) won its season-high fifth consecutive contest and reached five games above .500 for the first time.
Danny Granger scored 24 points but couldn’t prevent Indiana (16-24) from losing its fourth straight game.
Portland trailed by seven points at halftime before limiting the Pacers to 39 second-half points.
Wesley Matthews added 19 points and nine assists for Portland, which was 10-of-20 from 3-point range with Batum going 5-for-8. Rudy Fernandez had three 3-pointers as part of a solid performance that included 11 points, six rebounds and eight assists. Fernandez played 36-plus minutes after Andre Miller left the contest early with an upset stomach.
The double-double performance was the eighth of the month for Aldridge, who is making a run at landing a spot on the Western Conference All-Star team.
Darren Collison and Mike Dunleavy scored 14 points apiece and Roy Hibbert had 11 points and 10 rebounds for Indiana.
