Heat 110, Pacers 103
Dwyane Wade had 41 points and 12 rebounds and LeBron James scored 10 of his 27 points in the final six-plus minutes as the Miami Heat recorded a 110-103 victory over the host Indiana Pacers on Tuesday.
James’ dunk with 6:11 remaining put Miami (40-15) ahead to stay and he scored eight more points to help the Heat hold off the Pacers (24-29).
Chris Bosh added 22 points for Miami.
Roy Hibbert scored 18 points and Tyler Hansbrough tallied 16 points for Indiana, which dropped to 7-2 under interim coach Frank Vogel. Both of Vogel’s losses are to Miami.
Wade scored 20 of Miami’s first 24 points during a 41-point first quarter. Wade finished the quarter with 22 points with the Heat’s largest lead coming at 37-13.
Indiana rallied back and took its first lead of the night at 67-66 with 7:45 left in the third quarter. Paul George and Danny Granger hit back-to-back 3-pointers nine seconds apart to tie the score and Josh McRoberts’ layup 48 seconds later put the Pacers up by a point.
George and Granger scored 14 points apiece for Indiana.
Wade had 31 points at halftime.
