Magic 93, Bucks 89 (OT)
Dwight Howard had 31 points and 22 rebounds as the visiting Orlando Magic outlasted the Milwaukee Bucks 93-89 in overtime Wednesday night.
Hedo Turkoglu scored eight of his 19 points in the extra session, including a pair of clinching free throws with 4.8 seconds left, to help the Magic (43-26) move 3 1/2 games clear of fifth-place Atlanta in the Eastern Conference.
Brandon Jennings scored 23 points and John Salmons added 22 points for the Bucks (26-41), who played without starting center and leading rebounder Andrew Bogut en route to their third straight defeat.
Jennings had forced overtime by hitting three free throws with 4.3 seconds to play after he was fouled by Jameer Nelson.
Ryan Anderson contributed seven points and 13 rebounds to give Orlando a dominating 49-31 edge on the glass, but the Magic didn't help themselves by going 20 of 35 at the free-throw line. Howard was the biggest culprit, making 13 of 24 attempts.
Salmons scored 16 points in the third quarter - as many as he totaled in his previous three games combined - to help Milwaukee turn a nine-point halftime deficit into a three-point lead entering the final 12 minutes.
