Bobcats 87, Bucks 86
Gerald Henderson scored the final seven points of the game to lift the Charlotte Bobcats past the visiting Milwaukee Bucks 87-86 on Monday in a critical Eastern Conference game.
The Bobcats (31-42) remain one game behind Indiana for the eighth spot in the East while the Bucks (29-44) fell three games behind the Pacers.
Milwaukee took control in the third quarter and held a comfortable lead behind Andrew Bogut and Brandon Jennings (26 points apiece) until Henderson took over in the last 2:27.
Henderson's 21-foot jumper from the right wing off a downscreen with 22 seconds left provided Charlotte an 87-86 lead. He finished with 16 points.
After a timeout, Jennings beat his man off the dribble but missed a wide-open left-handed layup with 11 seconds left. But Charlotte threw the ball away, Jennings missed a transition layup and a 3-pointer from the left corner, and Carlos Delfino missed a tip-attempt at the buzzer.
